If you're a regular visitor to the Internet Tablet School, you may know that you can find all kinds of wonderful applications and games for your Nokia tablet by going to maemo.org/downloads on the tablet's web browser.
However, the maemo.org downloads section has now expanded, and it has a section for Windows PC and Macintosh software which is somehow related to the tablet.
Just start up your web browser on your PC or Mac and head on over to maemo.org/downloads, then click on the grey "PC" button in the top right area of the screen. There's not a huge amount of stuff there right now, but more software should appear as it's made.
Of particular note for Mac fans is the 770Flasher application, which was previously buried away on its creator's website without much publicity, so you may not have known about it. 770Flasher is an unofficial program for the Macintosh computer which lets you update your tablet's firmware pretty easily. Don't be put off by the 770 name, it works with all internet tablets including the N800 and N810. (If you want to know more about firmware updates, including what the heck firmware actually is, see our complete tablet firmware update tutorial)
